Just like our friends the endotherms, it’s time to begin waking up and thinking about making some noise.

The Lowest of the Low will be groaning back to life this summer. Keep an eye on the shows section for updates.

But to start, the Low will be part of the Toronto Urban Roots Festival, which is shaping up to be one awesome festival from July 4-7 at Fort York in Toronto.

Blue Moon 2012

“Born To It” DVD release show

Hello Friends,

I’m writing to let you know that “Born To It” – the documentary I made about independent musicians – is finally coming out on DVD. To help launch it into the world, I’m throwing a party – a release concert on Wednesday, September 19th at the Underground in the Drake Hotel. The show will be performances by all five of the musicians in the film – Ron Hawkins, Stephen Stanley, Wayne Petti, Alun Piggins and Elissa Mielke.

If you were at the film’s premiere at the Royal theatre back in 2009, the concert afterwards was spectacular, and I can’t wait to get the old band back together!

There will be advance tickets available at www.victimlesscapitalism.com

Summer shows

The Lowest of the Low is playing some summer shows.

Firstly, on the north shore of Lake Ontario, on July 7th as part of the Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences “Mindful Music 2012”

Secondly on the Niagara River as it makes its way to the south shore of Lake Ontario, at the wonderful Artpark outdoor Amphitheatre on July 11th.

Both shows are free and all ages!

Our Stephen Stanley will be on Hockey Night in Canada’s Game Day on CBC TV 5-6 PM EST on Feb 4. That last sentence may need to simplify its description of time-keeping to win most improved timekeeper next year… but regardless, check it out.
